MEET THE MAKEUP ARTIST

Art has always been my passion and when those around me discovered my artistic abilities, I found myself being asked to do their makeup. And this is how makeup artistry found me! Having worked as a henna artist, photographer and event designer, I understood that it took planning, study and practice to create something truly beautiful and this continued to form the basis of my work ethic in my profession as a makeup artist.

Five years on, there is nothing that I enjoy more than bringing a client's beauty into full bloom.

I specialise in creating makeup looks that are natural, elegant and flattering. My focus is not solely on making-up the face; rather I seek to bring together an entire look by realizing and fulfilling my client’s vision.

MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Hi, we are Henna and Ali.  After five years of marriage our ideal date still comprises of an Audi, two over-sized camera bags and the big open road (plus a pit stop at a nice Italian restaurant).  As photographers, we take pleasure in getting to know our clients. So it’s only fair that you get to know us first!

As they say, opposites attract or at least that’s how it worked out for us (we’re talking Star Trek meets Sex in the City)...

ABOUT HENNA

The beauty and art of memory keeping is very dear to my heart; after the birth of our baby girl, an extremely sleep-deprived version of myself would be found fervently scrapbooking at every window of opportunity!

I have been fortunate enough to explore many mediums on my creative journey from painting canvases and applying intricate henna on brides, to décor design and marketing for prominent event planning companies. It is through these experiences that I discovered the extraordinary world of photography and realized that this was where my true passion lay.

ABOUT ALI

As a doctor, I am pretty organized when it comes to tackling life but the excitement and challenges of work led me to seek an outlet for enjoyment. This is how travelling and photography came into the picture. My favourite way to unwind was to spend time with my first love, my car.  Together we would drive to and through great scenery— that was, of course, until Henna came along! Quite frankly, since then I have had eyes for no-one else ;)

Well that’s not entirely true... we found a happy compromise. The three of us, (my two loves and I), continue to visit serene and exotic places, enjoying one another’s company and exploring our beautiful world through lights and lens. Beyond our private adventures, there’s nothing quite as special as working with Henna as her second photographer at weddings and doing the very thing that brought us together.
